Great opportunity available within a small custom audio video company. We’re an AV integration firm working in the Tri-State area with most projects in Westchester, NYC and Eastern Long Island.

Efficiently pull, terminate, label, and test cabling between audio, video, data, and control equipment.
Liaison with clients and contractors.
Represent AV Solution, the company in a courteous & professional manner to clients and other trades.

Other information:

Primary Location: Westchester NY.
Meet in New Rochelle to pick up commercial van which all expenses are paid for.
Working Days: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, possibly Saturdays if needed.
Working Hours Start- 7:00 to 8:00 AM (depending on project location, may be earlier)
Working Hours End- 5:30 PM (depending on project and timeline, may be earlier or later)

Job Requirements

Flexible hours a must
Must be able to climb ladders up to 20’ high
Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs
Clean Driver’s license is a MUST
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of video, audio, and control connectors and cabling
Ability to read system schematics and floor plans and blueprints
Ability to understand programming systems and interfaces and equipment configuration
Must be able to work in small spaces and on uneven surfaces
May need to stay late if project needs to be completed
Minimum 4-5 years of Residential AV experience, some Commercial installation experience preferred
Experience with installing, testing and commissioning custom control systems
Familiarity with Elan, Savant, RTI Universal remotes is a must!
Lutron RadioRa2 Lighting control and shade installation and programming is a plus.
Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot and resolve various service issues related to Integrated AV systems
Knowledge and experience with audio-video systems, programming and products/components.
Knowledge of signal flow, different audio/video signal types, connector types and terminations. Must be able to read and follow AV system schematics and supporting documentation
Skilled in terminating & cable management.
Skilled with Savant’s control system, and, proficient with Elan Home System and knowledge of networking equipment.
Experience with installation and configuration of wired and wireless network systems
Familiarity with product lines including Elan, Savant, Sonos, Heos, Pakedge, Lutron, RTI, etc.
Ability to manage expectations with excellent interpersonal skills to interface with the client as well as anticipate their needs.
Great communications skills, high ethical standards, and able to work independently as well a lead crew.
