HiFi Club is seeking an Audio/Video Technician to join our growing Systems Integration Company. The technician is charged with providing timely, efficient and accurate installation of home technology systems for our clients. The technician will be active in all phases of low-voltage systems installation including rough-in, assembly, trim-out, installation and support, and some programming.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
- Field installations
- Troubleshooting, service, and support
- Rough-in, trim-out, and installation of all of the below systems
- Rack assembly and installation
- Warehouse responsibilities
The applicant will learn and work with the following systems, prior experience is desirable:
- Distributed Audio Systems
- Distributed Video and Matrix Switchers
- Home Automation Systems, especially Control4 and Crestron
- Control Systems
- Home Theater systems
- Data Networking and Configuration
- Structured Wiring
- IP Surveillance Systems
Job Requirements
- Be self-motivated, dependable, detailed oriented
- Have good organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Have the ability to deal with customers in a positive, professional, and friendly manner
- Be capable of managing, conducting, and finishing all projects in an efficient and professional manner
- Be available for occasional weekend emergency service calls
- Be familiar with the use of a computer running the Microsoft Windows operating system
- Be familiar with the use of an Apple iOS or Android smartphone
- Be able to enter confined areas such as attics and crawl spaces to service and install wiring and components
- Be able to use a ladder and reach overhead to access ceilings and other high areas
- Be able to safely lift and manipulate heavy components using proper lifting techniques
- Be capable of reading and interpreting drawings and schematics, instructions, and manuals with minimal supervision
- Have transportation to get to and from job sites, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record
- Be well-groomed and professional at all times
- Be open to a background check
- Be available for minimal travel, mainly for training
