About the position:
Audio Images is looking for experienced audio-visual technicians in Orange County, California, to work in the construction of custom home theatres, media rooms, whole-home audio/video, integration, communication, and lighting control technologies.
What you’ll be doing:
- Installation of residential and commercial audio, video and telecommunication components and systems in a neat, reliable and serviceable manner
- Troubleshooting and correction of system malfunctions/design
- Identifying, correcting and preventing improper component installations
- Knowledge of applicable FCC, NEC, OSHA and local building code standards in order to meet or exceed minimum levels of performance and to assure client confidence
- Assist Lead Tech in Final phase installations and trim out phase
- Initiating/monitoring the resolution of items on project punch-lists
- Possess a working knowledge of installed products and their alternatives
- Able to refer clientele and superintendents to the proper Audio Images personnel/associates when unable to promptly satisfy their needs
- Understanding of applied electronic theory (parallel/series calculations, wattage, impedance)
- Possess basic knowledge of Network set up
- Able to perform proper soldering techniques.
- Demonstrate a desire to advance professionally, and be a force for positive change.
Job Requirements
What we are looking for from you:
- Strong general trade experience
- Trim and Finish installation experience
- New custom home construction, remodels, retrofits and repairs, interior and exterior structures experience
- Maintains and services tools and equipment used in the performance of duties
- Uses power tools such as drills, saws, Fein saws plus hand tools such as hammers, screw drivers, wire strippers,
- Reports to different work sites to complete required tasks/projects
- Delivers quality, efficiency, productivity and safe work practices
- Cleans and prepares construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
- Organizes materials as needed
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Must have valid driver license and insurance
We’d love it if you have these bonus skills:
- 2-3+ years of hands-on experience in networking and/or installing security, surveillance and access control systems desired
- Ability to predict and mitigate customer issues before they arise.
- Solid understanding of low-voltage and signal-flow
- Experience with control systems, including Lutron, Crestron and Savant
What the physical demands and work environment look like:
The employee may require the ability to do the following:
- Lift 50 lbs. from ground and pull 50 lbs. of force
- Perform ladder climbing, wire pulling and conduit pulling
- Fully squat, stoop or kneel while wearing a 25 lbs. tool belt
- Maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires
- Work off of ladders, man lifts or reach booms
