Job Description
No experience needed. We will expose you to the below projects and teach you the necessary skills:
- High and/or low voltage lighting
- Smart home technology, security, audio equipment, shading, wiring, and installing video walls, projection systems and TVs
- Wire networking systems, pre-wire and retrofit wiring
- Deploy residential and small-business wired and wireless networks
- Building, wiring and installing equipment racks
- Installing and testing networking and Wi-Fi systems
- Connecting and bringing to life control systems
- Cabling/terminating
- Working with programmers to make sure the system operates correctly
- Reading and translating floor plan, elevation and other plans, drawings and documentation
- Communicating with project coordinators on job status and site requirements
- Working with engineering and documentation staff on development of project documents, including full as-built plans at project completion and many other duties
- Transport themselves and materials to and from project locations
- Responsible for maintaining the vehicle and its contents, including cleanliness
- Trouble shooting/problem solving skills
- Testing old/new connections
- Clean up job sites
- Recording and maintaining inventories
- Upload regular updates to all TVs, receivers and miscellaneous AV equipment
- Knowledge of construction techniques and wiring methods for new and existing construction
- Knowledge or certification with Elan, Savant, Lutron, Control4 a plus
- Awareness of residential systems integration including audio/video, lighting, shades, climate control, security, CCTV, telephone and computer networks

- Keep accurate records of receipts, job changes, equipment used
- Ability to perform calculations, engage in strategic and creative problem solving
