Title: Lead Systems Integrator – (Previous AV Industry experience is a must)
Reports To: Chief Technical Officer
Key Focus: Leadership & development, Technical Oversight, Implementation, Training and Quality Assurance
Summary:
The Lead Systems Integrator (Tech3) is responsible for implementing the communicated company’s technical vision and leading some implementation aspects of technology development and delivery directions of Design Electronics. The primary role of the Lead Systems Integrator is to integrate company process with the appropriate technologies. The Lead Systems Integrator is primarily concerned with Quality & Sustainability, while still maintaining a deep technical knowledge of process and implementation in the field. The Lead Systems Integrator requires a working familiarity with LEED and other government industry regulatory standards both present and future. The Lead Systems Integrator reviews the system specifications, with an emphasis on sustainability/serviceability.
The Lead Systems Integrator is responsible for all aspects of the installation or implementation of technology initiatives within the organization. This individual provides direction to team members with reference to installations and implementations.
As the successful candidate you will:
- Provide support and direction between the Integration (PMO) and Service departments
- Identify company installation/implementation related risks and opportunities with orders, projects and service related initiatives (calls)
- Identifies and evaluates opportunities, which are provided to the DE Project Manager for assessment in reference to changes or enhancements to the clients existing systems
- Participates in the implementation of the DE Customer experience model, for the delivery of DE solutions
- Implement industry best practices and frameworks to confirm working architectures and frameworks for future DE solutions
- Provide feedback on technical and site options to the DE Engineering and PMO Departments
- Proactively, work with the service management team to continually improve the customer experience and resolution of support issues by leveraging automation, tools and analytics.
- Participates in the DE quality assurance process, including documentation, integration and system testing.
- Encourages the development of team members through mentorship and example.
- Provides estimates (hours) for quotations.
- Provides visible leadership for the technical department.
- Implements approved Technical Standards and ensure adherence to them for company operations.
- Participates in project closeouts and post mortems.
- Participates in company commissioning and sign-off process
- Performs advanced system program trouble shooting on-site, as required
- Performs on-site final programming, commissioning and training for systems – Techs
- Works with MOTs to refine and enhance the delivery processes to support the company’s growth and enhanced customer experience.
- Shares knowledge, mentors and educates clients and technical staff on emerging technologies, systems, equipment and software
- Daily site/job status reports
- Live submission of time bills
Job Requirements
Education, Certification & Experience required:
- Degree/Diploma in Computer/Software/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3/5 experience leading system/software testing/integration projects.
- A minimum of 3/5 years’ hands-on experience with system/software testing and integration – Technology development industry experience would be an asset.
- Previous experience working with various audio DSPs such as QSC, Biamp or others
Previous experience working with and deploying network equipment and technologies such as: Dante/ AES67, VoIP, VLANs, etc.
- Previous experience working on Crestron both Commercial & Residential projects.
- Experience working across disciplines, solving practical issues and engaging technical and non-technical team members, and various stakeholders involved in the project.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to meet deadlines
- Possess a valid Ontario Driver’s License (G level).
