System Designer

Job Description

Understand overall theory of audio visual, lighting controls, and shade controls

Professionally budget and propose high-end luxury electronic systems

Create audio/visual submittals for projects

Responsible for taking the conceptual design and bill of materials from development to installation

Create complete code-compliant designs inclusive of device layouts

Provide value engineering options for existing designs

Work closely with system engineers, on-site contractors, builders, designers, clients, and client representatives to complete the job on time and within budget while exceeding the client’s expectations

Relay project and system proposed operation and scope to engineering and programming departments

Work with project coordinators and other staff to make sure the system is installed correctly

Ensure that each project is completed to high company standards

Research latest home automation and AV technology and provide recommendations regarding purchasing and upgrading equipment

Follow through with company generated leads

Excellent time management and communication skills
