Lead Technician/Installer

Job Description

• Deploy residential and small-business wired and wireless networks and lead a team of installers to success
• Building, wiring and installing equipment racks
• Wire networking systems, pre-wire and retrofit wiring
• High and/or low voltage lighting
• Smart home technology, security, audio equipment, shading, wiring, and installing video walls, projection systems and TVs
• Installing and testing networking and Wi-Fi systems
• Connecting and bringing to life control systems
• Cabling/terminating
• Working with programmers and teaching technicians to make sure the system operates correctly
• Reading and translating floor plan, elevation and other plans, drawings and documentation
• Communicating with project installers and coordinators on job status and site requirements
• Working with engineering and documentation staff on development of project documents, including full as-built plans at project completion and many other duties
• Transport themselves and materials to and from project locations
• Responsible for maintaining the vehicle and its contents, including cleanliness
• Trouble shooting/problem solving skills
• Testing old/new connections
• Clean up job sites
• Recording and maintaining inventories
• Upload regular updates to all TVs, receivers and miscellaneous AV equipment
